New Delhi:

A promotion-cum-pipping ceremony of Other Ranks was organized at CISF headquarters here on Friday and simultaneously at all the Sectors/Zonal Headquarters across India. As many as 992 Constable Tradesmen (of various trades) have been promoted all over India.

Rajesh Ranjan, DG, CISF took the initiative of promoting the Constable Tradesmen to the rank of Head Constable Tradesmen. This is the first time in the history of CISF, that Constable Tradesmen have been promoted to the rank of Head Constable Tradesmen. To implement this transformational agenda, the officers and staff of CISF HQrs pursued hard and maintained liaison & coordination with MHA, for promoting the force personnel. Granting the promotion that too on such a large scale to the Constable Tradesmen, is a visionary step and positive move to uphold the motivation of the personnel.

Keeping in view of the COVID menace and guidelines of social distancing, only a few Constables Tradesmen were invited from Delhi-NCR Units & IGI Airport for putting their rank on promotion during the pipping ceremony held at CISF HQrs, New Delhi. Similarly, pipping ceremonies were also organized in all the Sectors/Zonal Head Quarters of CISF for promoting the CISF personnel to the next higher rank.

The DG congratulated all the promoted Head Constable Tradesmen. He said that regular promotions to the personnel go a long way in enhancing our capabilities and also motivates other personnel to improve in their tasks and aspire for similar promotion. “It thus improves the overall employee morale and job satisfaction and thereby promotes the development of the organization as personnel feel connected with their organization and willingly give their best for its effective functioning and growth. He also added that in the present scenario of negativity, these promotions will not only boost the morale of the personnel but also help to create positive functional atmosphere at work places,” he added.

Rajesh Ranjan, Director General, CISF, Sudhir Kumar Saxena, ADG (HQrs), Prateek Mohanty, IG (Pers) and other Senior Officers of CISF were present during the ceremony at CISF Headquarters.
