Bradley Cooper says he has found a “friend for life” in his “A Star is Born” co-star, Lady Gaga.
The 43-year-old actor, who is making his directorial debut with the film, said other than the experience, his biggest takeaway from the movie is the relationship he now shares with the singer.
“I made a friend for life. As great as this movie was the thing that I think I’ll take away forever is the relationship I have with her because she is an incredible person. I’m very lucky to have worked with her,” Cooper told People magazine.
The Oscar-nominated actor recalled meeting Gaga, who is making her feature film debut, at her home and ended up bonding over a meal.
“That was absolutely insane… The only reason I had the courage is because she made me feel so comfortable,” he said.
Cooper stars in the film, which is being considered an Oscar frontrunner, as Jackson Maine, a rocker struggling with alcoholism and drug addiction who falls in love with his musical protege Ally (played by Gaga).
“A Star is Born” hits the theatres October 5.
